Cancer never sleeps, neither do we...thats why we relay for life! They start the relay at SUNSET, which represents the cancer patient finding out their diagnosis...then as the hours pass by throughout the night, it represent the disappointment, darkness, weakness, sadness, and possibility of losing the battle, until finally SUNRISE which represents fighting/hope/surviving cancer! I honored to in some symbolic way be able to understand what my mother has had to battle not once, but twice! Back to walking, good morning everyone :)
