Cancer suddenly and unexpectedly put in an unwanted appearance within our close family and the panic and the upset it cause was horrendous and something I will never forget.......it got me to thinking about what I would do as a father if I received such news about any of my children.....this is reality for some families.....I decided to do something to help these families as we never know what is around the corner.....I am running the Great North Run in September in aid of CANDLELIGHTERS which is a Leeds based charity that survives only on fundraising and donations and it supports families who have children who are terminally ill.....I know everybody gets approached daily for fundraising of some kind and each and every charity is as important as the next but Im just hoping to raise as much money as possible to help these children and families create memories whilst they still can!
