The world-famous lingerie brand announced Tuesday that its fall runway extravaganza will leave Manhattan in favor of jolly old England. Angels Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel made the big reveal at the London flagship store with Victoria’s Secret chief marketing officer Ed Razek. The guest list hasn’t been drawn up for this year’s VS parade, which is televised in 192 countries, but Lima already has taken it upon herself to extend at least one invite. “We would love to invite Prince Harry,” she said. “He definitely has a front-row seat!” We’re told the move to London’s Earls Court Exhibition Center is temporary and that the show will likely return to the Big Apple in 2015 — though it’s possible it will go on the road again next year. After all, Tuesday’s announcement is part of Ohio-based Victoria’s Secret’s global domination tour. The campaign includes 160 international store openings in 2013, with more to come. The biggest opening was the much-ballyhooed, four-story U.K. flagship shop on Bond St. in late 2012. For starters, the $6-billion-a-year panty peddler hanged Union Jacks from the Lexington Ave. Armory’s rafters and hired Taylor Swift to perform in matching dress and top hat. The show also opened with a segment called “British Invasion” and featured a “Royal Fantasy Bra.” British models Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Lily Donaldson and Malaika Firth graced the runway of the 2013 event. It stands to reason those brand ambassadors will be among the strongest candidates to wear the multimillion-dollar Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra when the show comes to their home country. The Fantasy Bra, first worn by Claudia Schiffer in 1996, is essentially the brand’s heavyweight title belt. Its gem makeup — and, by extension, its worth — changes every year. The bling-y brassiere was valued as high as $15 million when it was worn by Gisele Bundchen in 2000. Last year, Swanepoel wore a $10 million version to the big show. It has yet to be worn by an English supermodel. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show generally tapes in November and airs on CBS a month later, but both events will be in December this year.
