Candidates holding B. Ed and M. Ed degrees have appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to direct concerned officials to reconsider eligibility criteria for the posts of teacher. A delegation of candidates said SSRB advertised 1200 teacher posts and declared candidates having 10+ 2 qualification as eligibility for selection. “ What is the fun of having B. Ed and M. Ed courses if candidates having 10+ 2 qualification are held eligible for these posts. For ReT posts, B. Ed is mandatory while for permanent teacher post 10+ 2 have been declared eligible,” the delegation said. “ Candidates having B. Ed and M. Ed degrees are awarded 15 and 10 points respectively that too at final stage. We are at the verge of crossing age bar. We appeal the CM to direct officials to reconsider the eligibility criteria,
