Candidates night was an overall success. Heres what I left with: -I will inevitably trip over the mic cord and cause a scene so I should just accept and embrace my awkwardness. -Shawn Harris is right, I need to work on public speaking. I clam up. -I have the most sincere intentions and genuine respect for the other candidates and all the ways they give their time. I can only hope those sentiments were obvious through the first two bullets. -Holy cow with Mary Chaffees vitriolic closing statements directed at Jason Klump. (Board of Health Candidates). Im really impressed with his class and composure in the face of this and other dirty attack campaigns. He gets my vote. -I find myself rooting for Elisa Zawadzkas (State Rep). I think in another life we would have been friends and I wish her campaign well. Yay young, strong, ambitious women. -And I have the best friends in the world: Jeff, Susie, Zeb, Kimberly, Shawn and our parade of kids. Thanks for hanging in there till the end. I love you guys!
