Candle in the Wind, has to be one of the most very beautiful and sad songs ever written. I actually listen to the song often and not just on the anniversary of Princess Dianas death. It must have taken Elton John, a tremendous amount of courage that day to sing when he was especially so close to Princess Diana. I was eight years old when Princess Diana died. My parents and I were on a vacation in New Orleans and we had just finished having breakfast in bed when my Dad turned on the television to watch the weather forecast. Both of my parents became very quite! As an eight year old little girl I understood what had happened and I was glued to the television for the remainder of our vacation. I was obsessed with watching the interviews with people and watched all the flowers arrive at the palace. I knew who Princess Diana was and I couldnt imagine how a gorgeous Princess could die! I remember watching the funeral service on the television and I remember seeing the very sad faces of Princess Dianas two little boys. I felt sad for her boys and I remember asking my Mom what would happen to their lives without their Mother. Little did I know then that Id lose my own Mother to death some years later in 2001. I know Dianas boys must have struggled without their Mother. Prince William, looks just like Diana! After the death of Princess Diana I forced my parents to buy me every magazine and book featuring Princess Diana. Since those years Ive read several books on the wonderful Princess Diana and she is among the people on my list of inspirations. My dream is to one day visit England, see the palace and go visit the grave memorial area where the general public visits. Princess Diana, was an outstanding stunning woman with dignity and grace. There isnt another Princess who will ever do as much for people and charity, as done by Princess Diana!
