#CangkirNews | SMKN 1 Jenangan Ponorogo, a Road to Excellence School. Last February, when SMKN 1 Jenangan has its 48th anniversary, one of PUM Netherland Senior Expert, Erno de Korte, visited us. That was the third mission after his big mission at 2013, check pum-edu-ng.net. He had a big plan to assist this school to reach the next level, to be an excellence school. On his last visitation, he strongly recommended that SMKN 1 Jenangan was actually very well prepared to be an excellence school, or even global school. As what he suggested, this school needs to create an excellence program. It is about observing and coaching some few excellence students to do some excellence tasks. His idea is actually really hooked wih the Ministry of Education and Culture requirements of an Excellence School. An excellence school need to concern in developing the skill of competence, information and technology, entrepreneurships, soft skill, and English as the key for being aceesible world wide. According to Erno, SMKN 1 Jenangan Ponorgo has already had a strong infrastructure for supporting the quality of excellence students. The official curriculum from the government will be implemented. Then, we add some interesting and fun but massive additional task for the excellence students. He also said that we are coaching the future generation. As a big country, Indonesia has a huge potential to be a big industrial country. The important aspect that our school needs to improve is English. That is the wah to speak to the world wide that we are, SMKN 1 Jenangan, is an excellence school and ready to support Indonesia to be a big industrial country. (Wahyu)
