Canine update: both dogs doing well. Ilse is not only eating and sleeping great, she managed to sneak downstairs somehow and poop in the basement because apparently I dont take her out often enough or wait long enough when we do go out. Shes not supposed to be going up and down stairs but no one told her that, apparently. Incision looks very good, still a little swollen and red but well within the parameters. Having a hard time keeping her from running and jumping now that shes feeling better, and she does NOT like going outside on the leash and is clearly confused about it. Maggie ate about half a cup of boiled white rice with lunchmeat and cheese mixed in and kept it down, which is fantastic. She also took her pill wrapped in lunchmeat with no fuss and though she hasnt pooped yet, thats a good sign considering how bad her diarrhea was yesterday. Shes sleeping a lot but the vet said to expect that, when shes awake she has bright eyes and wants to play so thats good. Thanks so much to everyone who expressed concern over the dogs and sent good wishes/prayers/healing vibes, I appreciate all good thoughts and hopes :-)
