Cannon Kyle Update: Sitting here in the NICU rocking my baby boy after feeding while Dad and J are hangin out and doing fun stuff at Chuck E. Cheese, so I thought I would post the latest about whats going on. All tests to release CK have been passed, except for one - the glucose screening. This is a biggie as its a safety precaution used to make sure that babies can sustain healthy blood sugar levels if they go for extended periods of time without feeding. The nurses did a first round try with CK late last night, and it didnt go so well - not bad, but he didnt pass. Yesterday was also a crazy day for him (circumcision, car seat test, etc.), so were chalking our crummy luck up to that. The doctor wants to keep CK in the NICU for another 48-72 hours so that he can build up some good fat stores that will (hopefully) help him pass his next glucose test. Im holding up ok... Sad my babys not home with us yet but glad hes in the best hands possible aside from mine or his daddys. Please keep praying for Cannons continued growth and that when they do decide to perform another glucose test, we would have better luck than we did last night. Cannon is a *very* healthy baby, but with him being so small he absolutely has to put on some chubbiness to be able to come home with us. Also, prayers would be appreciated for Jayce as he tries really hard to understand all of the changes that are taking place right now. Its getting tough on him when Mom and Dad have to leave repeatedly to go to the hospital for his little brother, and it breaks my heart a little every time. Will is also starting back to work tomorrow, so prayers for him would be appreciated as he transitions back to a work schedule. All of that to basically say that were all doing good - anxious about what the next week or so brings, but trusting God and His plan. Thanks for all of the love and support and prayers so far.
