Cant believe all this snow n the schools knew and didnt close the school, but I noticed the snow was really getting bad n seen on TV bartow schools was being released early so my kids n elem school got out early n the bus brought them home, but my sons n middle school called me a while after the other kids came home n said mom the school said you gotta come n get us bc the busses cant bring us home n at that time I had no way to go n get them bc my husband had our car at work with him n he works 12 hr shifts at Toyo tire n couldnt get off till 7:00pm n the rds was getting worse n covered n snow, so me n my neighbor whos kid was stuck at school too called the school n board of education n all they could say was the kids r at school n safe n theyll feed them n I told them its there fault the kids was stuck at school bc its I send my kids to school n expect them to make sure they return safely n shouldnt have sent them to begin with n should have at least sent them home like the elem kids n had them home before the weather n rds got to bad n they said well ur kids are gonna stay here at school n spend the nite n theyd feed them n I was furious. Finally a friend went to get them n the rds was so bad there was accidents everywhere n she was sliding on the rds n got stuck n had to b pulled by someone bc the school couldnt send the kids home n time n get home safe, n by so many ppl tryn to pick their kids up bc the board of education didnt send the kids home before the rds got bad there was accidents n cars n ditches n ppl prob hurt, that shows the school board is pretty messed up n Im one pissed off parent. Who ever heard of kids spending the nite at school bc they dont have it together at all. A lot of parents was calling very upset, there was so many ppl calling worried about their kids that half the time Id tried to call someone it had a busy signal, what can we do as parents to make sure this doesnt happen again, I was so so worried n so upset today like Ive not been in a long time. Sorry just gotta vent n schools need to stop being rude to concerned parents Im doing my job they need to do theirs ...,js
