Cant believe that It has been 11 years since 9/11/01. I will never forget that day. I was in middle school at Accotink Academy. I was outside at recess when I was called inside. My school was on lock down. Thats when my teacher turned on the tv and I saw what had happened. I didnt think my dad went to work that day but later found out he did. My dad worked at the pentagon.He was in the parking lot by his truck tying his shoe when the plan hit the pentagon. He didnt realize what had happened until he started to walk back into the pentagon when he got direction to leave and that a plane had hit. I cant imagine what went through his head. My family and friends were scared and crying because no one had heard from him. We couldnt help but wonder is he okay. Where is he. I went to spend time with my aunt because my mom didnt want me to be at the house while everyone was there upset and comforting each other. She didnt want to tell me that she thought my dad was dead. I knew thats what she thought. I saw her upset and tried to comfort her. I didnt dare ask a lot of questions because I could see she was scared and hurting. When my dad pulled into the driveway my mom fainted and my sister made it to his truck before he even could open it. We were all so thankful that he was alive. I dont know how I would ever live If I lost my dad. I cant even imagine how the family of loved ones lost that day felt. Thank you to all the men and women who came together to help put back us together again. It was such a tragedy.
