Cant sleep. Woke up at 3am once again with my heart and mind on people in a place far away. Weve been back for 4 months now and still cant seem to get back to normal. Nothing is the same, not even the relationships we missed so much while away or that feeling of being home. And while it would make life immensely easier and would hurt so much less to just forget and go back to the way it used to be, we would never choose it. Sometimes the impossibility of it all seems to physically choke us and we start scrambling to pick up the pieces of our lives and fix it somehow. But then theres that still small voice just behind the roaring of the panic that reminds us of who has told us to go and who holds the pieces of our lives. We can attempt to blindly duct tape it all back together ourselves or we can trust Him to put the pieces exactly where they should be even when it looks like a mess from where we sit. So I guess that means well have to accept, maybe even embrace, being awkward and feeling out of place both here and there. And while getting over this wall might not involve marching with rams horns, its probably going to be just as crazy looking. Whatever it may be, the great I AM is about to do amazing and impossible things. Thanks for being patient with us in the meantime;)
