Cant sleep even though I am very tired. Just traveled through 7 states and saw some of the most beautiful things in the world. Some I have longed for 25 years to return too. Talked to strange, wonderful, grumpy, friendly people. Made new friends. I took about 4500 photos. About 800 frames of time laps and lots of HDR. I learned two new techniques with my camera. The journey started with seeing old friends and saying good bye to perhaps my closest friend in memorial as she left this world. I got to see my son who I have not seen in over a year due to his service in the Army. Windshield time is my best therapist. So many mixed up emotions. Yet standing on the rim of Bryce Canyon looking off into the bluest of skys, looking at stunning formations that took eons to create, I realize how rich life is, how insignificant my problems are, how little time we have on earth. Eternity can be experienced in a single moment. Laughter is perhaps one of the greatest medicines. Perhaps it may sound cliche, but I feel I have been born again, served a new chance at life. Yes I am looking up the ladder at the bottom rung. But damn life is fine! Let the climbing begin!
