Cant win when it comes to cars, but I can certainly make them feel guilty for taking their past abuses out on me. While camping the rear window hinge busted. It really sucked. A week or so ago Jenns step-father Bob (he has a heart of gold)brought us hinges but they were slightly different and didnt fit. We tried, but the oddball contraption wouldnt work. I spent several hours looking for my box of 1/4 drive bits to re-fasten the old hinge with no such luck. Today I went to Baileys to help train a guy in air exchange/blower door testing and while there, I found and retrieved said tool bit set. Some drilling, specialty hardware and a dab of silicone and I now have a functioning hinge. Next point of contention- #3 cylinder skips. Its an act of God to get to the firewall side plugs(covers, cables, emission devices, tubing, upper intake housing and gaskets) so I assume that theyve never been changed by the past owner. Wish me luck as I expect it will take me at least 3-4 hours and a litany of profane exclamations to scare the beast into submission. I will prevail lol.
