Canton Babywearers! We are three shy of 400 members. Something I never would have dreamed of a year ago! Well done, everyone! Our meetings are every Thursday, 11-1pm, in locations around Canton and Plymouth, MI. At our meetings, our leaders talk about the benefits and realities of babywearing, about proper fit, safety, and training of how to use different carriers and wraps, and about how to choose what fits your budget and your familys goals, and where to find it. Members often bring in carriers they already have but werent sure about - sometimes a 10 min one-on-one is all it takes to make it work for you! We also maintain a free lending library of wraps, ring slings, mei tais and buckle carriers to help you get a feel of what works for you, and online and meetup support for your questions. Liz Allison Thomas and others lead this group and meetings because they are passionate, trained, empathetic, and have good humor about babywearing and family life. Its our mission to share the way babywearing changed our lives as caregivers, and the enormous benefits our babies received as a result. We look forward to meeting you and helping you on your journey!
