Can’t put this off any longer… Friday when the clocks arrived I took a quick peek, barely peeling back the foam that covers one of the clocks to make sure we had the right clock, not ones with fishing reels and trout. Yes! It wasn’t until later that I took one out of the box to examine it. It was obvious right away: The quilter’s arm and the kitty are glued firmly in place. No animation. I tried to convince myself that it was because they were fastened down for shipping, but a look inside made me feel even sicker to my stomach: no wires inside to make the animation work. The American distributor sends profuse apologies and is getting in touch with the factory. Which is in Europe, in August, which means mass vacation. Ugh. As soon as I know what their timetable is for getting me the right clocks I can offer you your options. So please sit tight with me for a few days. I just sent pictures of the two clocks to the distributor to send along to the factory and wrote a PS saying I could sure use a couple of local pints about now. And how about some for all of you?!
