Capacity building for greater professionalism Building qualified and professional anti-corruption cadre through training and exchange of experiences and knowledge from the leading anti-corruption agencies in the region/abroad has been and will be the main focus of the Commission. Fostering greater professionalism has become imperative with the adoption and the implementation of Sectoralization, where the three primary functions have been merged. The new ACC Integrity Promotion Officers are undergoing a mandatory training in Malaysia that was also availed by 14 officers in 2011. Starting 1st August 2013, 27 officials are attending the 3 weeks intensive course specifically formulated for ACC Bhutan (a tailor made training) by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA) on “Basic training for Bhutan ACC officers- law and prosecution & forensic investigation module”. The training will cover wide range of topics like: anti-corruption laws, case management, Malaysian protection of whistle blower and witness protection program, anti-money laundering law and Mutual assistance in criminal matters, investigation and interviewing techniques (witness and suspect), asset tracing and net worth analysis, surveillance and intelligence and many others. The training is supported by the on-going Swiss Agency for Development and Corporation (SDC) project.
