Cape May Court House, New Jersey – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Wildwood Police Chief Steve Long announce criminal charges being lodged against Jonathan Moya, a 31 year old male of Wildwood and Carlos Casanova-Rosaria, a 29 year old male also of Wildwood, in reference to an attempted homicide incident that occurred in the City of Wildwood on August 5, 2014. On Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at approximately 10:34am, members of the Wildwood Police Department Uniformed Patrol Division responded to 100 East Block of Schellenger Avenue for a report of a man bleeding from the leg. Upon arrival officers discovered that the victim, Angel Adorno Serrano a 35 year old Wildwood resident, had an arrow impaled through his left upper leg. During the course of the joint investigation conducted by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes and Crime Scene Units and the Wildwood Police Department, Detective Division it was determined that Jonathan Moya was responsible for shooting the victim with a crossbow within the Gilmore Motel located in the 100 East Block of Schellenger Avenue. Carlos Casanova-Rosario was subsequently charged with hindering apprehension and obstruction and was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $12,500 full cash bail. Jonathan Moya has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Moya is currently at-large and was last seen leaving the area of the incident in a small white pickup truck bearing a temporary New Jersey Registration.
