Cape Town Electronic Music Festival (CTEMF) founder, Duncan Ringrose has been invited to partake in this years International Music Summit (IMS) to be held in Ibiza 21 - 24 May. The IMS theme for 2014 is Filtering The Future The panel he will contribute to is titled BRICS as per the emerging markets term, and will discuss the growth of Electronic Music within these regions. I am extremely thankful to be given this opportunity by IMS, and really look forward to engaging with the industry in this environment. The most exciting thing is to connect with other emerging markets. We spend so much time trying to get the attention or mimic US & EU markets, often at the expense of our own identity. Itll be interesting to see how other scene handle issues like globalisation, 1st world fee structure and promotion of their own local artists abroad. Cant wait... - Duncan Ringrose
