Capital is just another word for materials. Materials have to do - TopicsExpress

Capital is just another word for materials. Materials have to do with the elements, which goes all the way back, in secular terms, to the earliest philosophies about earth, fire, wind, water, and their particular aspects of hot, cold, wet, and dry. On theological terms, these are the things that God created out of nothing. They were brought into being by God, and, principally speaking, because all things were created by God, God owns all things. All things are properly Gods property, including us humans. And yet, God doesnt want to relate to us as property, but instead as persons and as family. This is the problematic aspect of certain third way theories, is how devoid they can be of God and the freedom of religion. We would have no power or ability to own or use anything if God never created the things we lord over as owning or feel entitled to use. We wouldnt even exist if God hadnt created us. All things we want to claim and own, in reality, are on rent from God, and thus we owe God for His grace and willingness to allow us to pretend to own anything.
