Caps United fc NO FAVOURS FOR NEW BOYS, SAYS BLA TAU BY @DMAKANYANGA2 FROM @MAILZIM Caps United gaffer, Taurai Mangwiro, has warned title aspirants ZPC Kariba that his side will not be taking it easy on them when the two sides square off in the final round of the Castle Larger Premier Soccer League fixture at the National Sports Stadium in a fortnight. The Green Machine find themselves in the same powerful situation to contribute to the outcome of the championship title they were in on the last day of the season last year where they denied Harare City a taste of the title, thwarting them 4-0 at the same venue. The result meant the Sunshine Boys watched Dynamos cruise to victory on a goal difference after a 54-point tally following Kalisto Pasuwa’s charges’ 2-0 win over Black Mambas. Mangwiro, who has had turbulent times at the helm of the Green Machine, has warned Kauya Katuru-turu who need a win to seal the title not to expect any favours from his charges. “We would want to win as many matches as possible, hence we will give it our best. Trust me on that one, it won’t be an easy game for them because we are not treating it as a dead rubber because we still have a lot to prove,” he said. “I do not think ZPC will need favours from any team, they have been doing their business alone since the start of the season. They won’t need any favours from us. Its game on, that is what I would want to assure the fans and the football community.” Mangwiro, who saw his charges putting up an appalling performance when they were held to a one all draw by relegation threatened side, Harare City, confirmed that his charges have to up their game in their next league encounter. “I did not like the body language which was shown by my players. To be honest with you, what I saw was a team that is left with nothing to play for. They lacked the motivation and for some of us, the boys looked as if they had done enough for this season. There is still something to play for,” he said. The soft spoken gaffer faces his mentor, Saul Chaminuka, but warned that he will have to be at his best to fight for maximum points as the mentee is ready to showoff the fruits of the lessons leant. “He (Chaminuka) is my mentor, he brought me to football, but if you are to ask him today he has only beaten me once. He has done very well so far but we are not going to make it easy for them,’ said Mangwiro. Mangwiro dismissed reports that the Green Machine are likely not to be at their best in the last league match because of his connections with Dynamos, also eyeing the championship. “That is what the people have been saying, but I do not believe the league is won by a single match. It’s what you do throughout the season that wins you the league. ‘‘So, if any of the two teams is going to win it, it will be the hard work they would have done and it’s unfortunate we won’t be on the podium. But what you can expect from us is a fair game,” he said
