Capsule 2: Registration of Canadians abroad If you are travelling or living abroad, sign up for the Registration of Canadians Abroad service. Registration enables us to reach you in case of an emergency abroad, such as an earthquake or civil unrest, or inform you about an emergency at home. Sing up online at travel.gc.ca/travelling/registration. It is quick, confidential and simple. You may as well register by mail or in person at Canadian government office abroad.
