Capt. Paul thought we forgot to tell him we got back last night. He turned off his phone at 10:30. We didnt get back till 10:46. I messaged him at 10:53 when we were in and everything was ok. No way was I calling him at that hour unless it was an emergency. LONG NIGHT. You try this some time you have a chance. Set up 4 cones an a parking lot, 34 feet between them. Go past the last cone and then back up serpentine, that is, if you are on the right side of the cone closest to you, cut between that and the next, then cut back in and s between the other ones WITHOUT hitting any of htem and without hitting other cones that are set along both sides about 30 feet out to form lanes... Then do it with a vehicle that you have driven once before that is 5 feet longer than the one you are accustomed to.... We had some challenges but we did it. The video was someone else doing it the easy way, IN A CAR... OH, you do it backwards and then you do it frontwards. One of the teams there had a brush truck that has a turning radius of less than my car..... I wanted to trade trucks with them.. They would have nothing to do with it. In the three point turn they did a U, no need to back with at least 5 feet to spare.... Our vehicle, turned as tight as we could would have used that 5 feet and 3 more. But for our use, the truck we have is ideal - five passenger - long bed for space for cones - and for what they do theirs is the best - extremely maneuverable and carries what they need...
