Captain Paul Watson Yesterday at 04:41 · MARTIN SHEEN UNVEILED IN CALIFORNIA Sea Shepherd unveiled our new vessel the Martin Sheen in Marina del Rey, California on Saturday, October 18th. Martin Sheen and his wife Janet personally dedicated Sea Shepherds new research vessel. The Martin Sheen came to California from Hawaii and en route conducted a plastic pollution survey taking water samples and collecting plastic debris. Sam Simon was also on hand for the dedication of the Martin Sheen. The Martin Sheen is now officially part of the Sea Shepherd fleet that includes the Steve Irwin, Bob Barker, Sam Simon, and Brigitte Bardot The Brigitte Bardot is now in Rome. The Sam Simon is in the Tasman Sea bound for Auckland, New Zealand. The Steve Irwin and the Bob Barker are in Williamstown, Australia. The Cove Guardians are on the ground in Taiji, Japan. Sea Shepherd campaigns are under way to protect turtles in Cape Verde and Costa Rica and our efforts in Galapagos to work with the Galapagos National Park to stop poaching continue for the 14th year in a row.
