Car Show in HB Today. Surf City Veteran Car Show -Free admission, 500 classic cars, vendors, food trucks, band or musical entertainment. Engine 5, only one of 2 fire engines surviving 9-11 is on display along with a 9-11 display of photos and memorabilia. The Surf City Veterans Day Car Show returns with over 500 woodies, hot rods, muscle cars, exotics, VWs, and rat rods. Donations benefiting US combat wounded veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan accepted at locations throughout the show. The event begins at 9 a.m. with an opening ceremony and ends at 2 p.m. with a closing ceremony, with a salute to POWs MIA at 12 pm. Free to spectators; $40 per car registration.
