Card of the Day August 9th 2014 The Hermit Card of the Month: The Four of Swords--Meditation and Repose Seeker of his true north, the Hermit is the explorer of the self. He embodies the wisdom of visiting your internal landscape with intentions to explore whats there, undimmed and unaffected by any external input or habit of thought. Every now and then we need time to ourselves so we can see who we truly are and where were going. Some of us are so used to the noise of everyday life that creating these periods of quiet exploration can be uncomfortable and upsetting. Curiousity helps. Recognize that there are parts of yourself that need rediscovery and/or focused attention. These may be the very parts you try to avoid or stifle by too much external stimulus, but hanging out with yourself like you do with an old friend can be a rewarding exercise. You can listen to and hold your inner child, hush your inner critic, have some dialog with your inner dominator, and through it all encourage your various selves to understand that the best results for you all on this fools journey come when you realize that you are all in this together, and that the new job for every part of you is to stop the internal divisiveness and to join together and care for one another. What a relief it is when you stop being at war with yourself. Thats the gift of the Hermit.
