Carey P. Page - Just received a very deceptive postcard from the Mizani campaign alleging that Chris Whatley, because of his P&Z opposition vote to the Gean property planned development is somehow in favor of creating a sea of rooftops in Keller. Three points: 1) The Planned Development on the Gean property was denied largely because it down-zoned property and was not in compliance with either current zoning or the Future Land Use Plan. 2) The image on the postcard under my opponents record is false in two regards: (a) the lot size in the image is not consistent with current zoning and (b) it hasnt and wont happen as in the image. 3) The actions of the P&Z commission (of which Chris Whatley is a member) and of City Council avoid the sea of rooftops and defends the zoning of the property as Single Family, Low Density, 36,000 sq ft (roughly 0.81 acre lot-size). In my opinion, this attempt to deceive the voters makes Mr. Mizani unqualified to serve on the City Council of the City of Keller. I agree with Dr. Carey Page. We have had enough deceptions for one political season.
