Carl Judge New Palmer United Party Queensland Leader The executive of the Palmer United Party has appointed Carl Judge as the party’s new Queensland leader to replace Dr Alex Douglas, who has decided to resign from the party. Palmer United Party federal leader and Member for Fairfax, Clive Palmer, said Mr Judge had the qualities and strength of character to lead the party into the next state election. “Carl Judge has a strong commitment to Queensland and he has the character to lead the party to confront the many challenges the state now faces,” Mr Palmer said. Mr Judge is the Member for Yeerongpilly in state parliament and will contest the Sunshine Coast seat of Kawana against Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie at the next state election. Mr Palmer also announced business owner and advisor Jim MacAnally has been endorsed as the pre-selected candidate for the Gold Coast seat of Burleigh at the next state poll. “Over the coming weeks the Palmer United Party will announce more endorsed candidates under the accordance of the provisions of the party’s constitution,” he said. “The failure of the current government and the Premier Campbell Newman has been that they’ve run government without proper recognition of LNP members and due process. “Carl Judge knows you need to work as a team. The Palmer United Party has maintained integrity within the community in Queensland. The Palmer United Party and Carl Judge will deliver for the state of Queensland.” Mr Judge said he was honoured to be the Palmer United Party Queensland leader. “I’m looking forward to leading the party at the next state election and I’m sure we will be strongly supported by Queenslanders disillusioned by how the state has been governed by the LNP and Campbell Newman,” he said.
