Carl Palmer drumming with one of rocks greatest vocalists, Arthur - TopicsExpress

Carl Palmer drumming with one of rocks greatest vocalists, Arthur Brown. Though the legendary Kit Lambert/Pete Townshend-produced Fire (remember I am the God of Hellfire?) was the only only hit of note from The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, the bands eponymous debut album was - and remains - one of the best of the late 60s era (Yes, its avail. on CD). Drachen Theaker drummed on that (great playing!), with Palmer (whos great here) later replacing him, before he and Vincent Crane went on to form Atomic Rooster. Brown is still touring, with rave reviews of concert and festival dates and critical acclaim for his latest (2014) album. When asked who the best British bands of the era were, my short list omits Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and about 90% of the rest, but includes this one.
