Carl Pyrdum is still at Grady and in stable condition now but has a long road ahead. I was able to speak with a member of the trauma team today and got a bit more information as to the extent of his injuries. He is still in a lot of pain as he broke six ribs in his back side and also has a stable fracture at T-4. No surgical intervention is needed at this time. His pelvis is cracked on the left side and no weight can be place on that leg or side until it heals. His lungs are bruised. At this time he is still pretty heavily medicated to deal with the pain issues at hand. Your thoughts and prayers are welcome and most appreciated. PLEASE DO NOT CALL HIM as he needs to rest and be able to heal ..right now rest and sleep are needed. We will let everyone know when phone calls would be appropriate. Thank you to all of those who have reached out to both him and myself in this time of need. To those who have been kind thank you so much it means more than you will ever know.
