Carl is still at Sacred Heart. Thank you for keeping the Evans in your prayers. Carl has lost one arm just below the elbow and will be undergoing surgery for his shattered pelvis and hip. His spirits are good. After he heals, he will be fitted for a prosthetic. He was able to wiggle his toes on the side where they were worried about paralysis! Carl is incredibly optimistic and determined. Along with his fun-loving self, he has humor firing on all cylinders. Pain management has been exceptional. Current prayer requests are for the doctors to clean his wounds thoroughly as they are preparing for surgery on Monday, debris in his body could lead to serious infections; also pray for him and the doctors as they prepare for and perform surgery tomorrow (Monday) on his shattered pelvis and hip. Magaret is amazed at how many people are visiting, helping, communicating. She feels carried along by God and an army of supporters. Thank you for caring for them and keep praying. Long term recovery will be challenging. If you know the Evans, you will know that they are always working on projects at the Grange and serving in the community and their church. This new challenge will certainly have its impact. He was not able to speak on Friday due to the breathing tube, so he was spelling into Margarets hand. They thought he was spelling I love you (which I am sure he was thinking), but he was actually spelling, I will go on living!
