Carla Crawford graduated with degrees in Art Studio and Italian from the University of California, Davis, where she studied under the painters David Hollowell and Wayne Thiebaud. Deciding to devote her full time efforts to drawing and painting in the classical tradition, Carla moved to New York to study with Jacob Collins at the Water Street Atelier at the Grand Central Academy of Art. Her work is exhibited at the Winfield Gallery and in the permanent collection of the Crocker Art Museum in California. Her pieces Soleil, Irena, and Descansada appear in the seventh issue of Catamaran! carlacrawford
