Carlisle CARES is in need of your help. Our volunteer pool is very low at this time. CARES has been assisting the homeless in our area now for 10 years, helping them to acquire housing and jobs while providing them their basic needs. CARES guides our homeless towards agencies and help that are necessary to move them forward. A few of our past guests are now at a good place in their lives where they too can give back by volunteering for CARES themselves. To continue to do the good works CARES does, more volunteers are needed to chaperone the church shelters and also to help at the Resource Center during the day. Without volunteers CARES could not afford to keep the shelters open at night and with the cold weather here , it would mean turning 30 to 50 men, women and children out into the cold.
