Carlys Law Update: Epidiolex Efficacy This is a report from GW Pharmaceuticals regarding Epidiolex, their CBD product. This is very promising news from GW and shows that CBD Oil is a positive step in the direction of treatment resistant seizure control. It is noteworthy that, of the patients who have responded to Epidiolex, a high proportion show a reduction in seizure frequency of greater than 50% and a portion of these patients were reported to be seizure-free at the end of 12 weeks of treatment, stated Justin Gover, GWs Chief Executive Officer. Please note that UAB is looking into using this product to start their study and at the same time they are looking at other sources for the oil. This study is referring to the clinical trial of 27 patients. UAB is going to conduct an open label/observational study meaning there will be no limit to the number of patients that can be treated. UAB is not limiting their study to only Dravet Syndrome and LGS patients. Great news today for CBD Oil.
