Carol was driving me to my afternoon doctor appointment today (my knee) and we were passing the Wichita State University Campus on 21st street heading east. I looked over to see whether I could get a look at the newly-built student dormitory. It was visible just south of their football stadium. At first glance, it looked sort of like one of those Value Place hotels, but It’s a bit nicer. Then I thought, “Wow, those rooms look right out onto their football field. That could be Prime Campus Real Estate!” …Then I remembered that WSU doesn’t have a football program. o.O After working yesterday, my leg had swollen up more and was much more bruised and the entire leg - from mid-thigh down to my ankle - was turning a slight yellowish in color. Carol and my mother had been on me to have it looked at. The jaundiced appearance finally convinced me to go in. They X-Rayed and didn’t see anything (that’s good). I was prescribed a diuretic and a steroid and if it doesn’t get better in about a week, I’m supposed to go in for them to see whether there might have been a slight meniscus tear. The doctor told me not to take any more aspirin (that was what had likely caused all of the bleeding/bruising). Doh! o.O
