Cars Keyed Whilst Volunteers Train Between 8am and 11.30am yesterday (Sunday 23/11/14) the Ballina Jet Boat Rescue Crew conducted a joint training exercise in the waterways of Ballina. The little nippers at Lighthouse Beach were lucky to watch the wonderful display. Pictured below. Sadly while this training was taking place, two vehicles, belonging to Jet Boat volunteers, were seriously vandalised as they were left parked beside the Jet Boat Rescue shed on Ragatta Ave (behind Ballina Police Station). The damage incurred to the vehicles amounted to approximately $10,000 as both cars were maliciously keyed from front to back. One of the vehicles is well known in Ballina as the Chicken Mania red ute. Police are investigating this shameless act and are seeking anyone with information to contact Ballina Police on 6681-8699 or Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.
