Caruanas Comments 7-21-14 ...I found Ruth responsive and somewhat alert today. The only words I heard was her I love you at the beginning and end of our visit. But she did nod yes or no to questions. ...After our news and chocolate time the social worker came in and asked if we would like to see the new room they have selected for Ruth. She, Jennifer, took the lead and we paraded around the corner to the new room. ...It is bright and airy with a good view of an patio and flowered outdoor visiting area. Her new roomy Marge is also in a wheel chair but seems to be very much with it. She loves cross word puzzles and keeps a large bowl of miniature candy bars on her dresser. I asked if she liked chocolate and she replied, No, I dont eat them I give them to staff members. Now, thats one was a being sure to get care and attention :-) ...I asked Ruth if she liked the room and Marge and she shook her head yes to both questions. Jennifer, the S.W., said Ruth will be moved on Wednesday and asked if they had my permission. I said that we prayed daily about Ruths situation and would take this as Gods will. She has been kept awake nights by her present room mates antics. That poor lady has become more and more demented and Im sure Ruth will be pleased to have a change. ...After our inspection of the new room and its occupant I wheeled Ruth out doors and we sat in the shade, soaked up the delightful breezes and held hands. I can not gauge how much such times mean to Ruth but they mean the world to me. ...It means more than you will ever know to have so many Facebook Friends praying for us daily. Thank you all.
