Caryl Miller passed away on Memorial Day after a year long battle with brain cancer. Ms. Miller is survived by her mother, Dolly Ebollito, her sisters, Sue Rose and Kat Azad, her son, Tyler Sargent, her step-sisters, Dona Connell and RoAnn Cinquini, and by her pup, Nahla along with many dear family friends. From a young age Caryl was an entertainer, artist and fashionista. When she rolled into her teens she began to take on the world. She became anything she wanted to be; a singer in a band (or three), model, fashion designer, hair stylist, make up artist, a mentor, icon, starlet, business woman and an inspiration. Caryl was one of those personalities that would light up any room into which she walked. She was charisma. She cared for everyone and everything. Even throughout her illness she created a positive atmosphere that carried all of us through this journey with a lighter heart and brighter outlook. Thats just what Caryl did: took care of us. She volunteered at the Battered Womens Shelter, styled the hair of senior citizens, and touched many more lives through her work at various charities. If you wanted something done, you called Caryl. Aesthetics were always important to Caryl and, by example, she taught us that “its all about the presentation!” She was beautiful both inside and out and she created beauty everywhere she went. While we all miss her shining light around us, she wouldnt have us lolling around in sadness. A quote from a recent memorial card sums it up, “Perhaps my time seems all too brief, dont lengthen it now with undue grief.” Caryl was a fighter; she never gave up. And, so we take our cue from her and persevere. A celebration of Caryls life will be held on Sunday, June 8th from 2pm to 6pm at her home. Her ashes will be scattered in her favorite travel destinations; the Pacific Ocean, Lake Tahoe, Tulum, Mexico and Paris, France. In lieu of flowers please make donations to her son, Tylers Trust Fund (mssg Sue Rose for information) or to the National Brain Tumor Society, braintumor.org/join-the-fight/ways-to-give/ If you have photos that you would like to contribute to Caryls Memory book please feel free to upload to Adolfos project called, Millie Moo at the following: mixbook/create/collaborate?key=718007caa490ddd3064838893a987a5d3598ed88&siid=3347302&utm_campaign=collaborate_guest&utm_medium=email&utm_source=MixbookMailer Plans are in the works for another celebration later this month at the Cardiff Lounge in Campbell.
