Casablanca Cottage has always been a cold house in winter and a hot house in summer. Bad combination! I decided to look into the insulation situation and as you can see from the photos, we really looked into it. It turns out there was no insulation between the main floor ceiling and the attic. The small attic I had properly insulated a few years ago. I hired Great Northern Insulation to install spray foam where ever possible, prior to insulating Gerry Nebel and I took the tin ceiling down above the front porch then put it back up again and it looks better than ever! In one of the photos is a dark shot of the 1925 Buffalo news paper that was insulating the bedroom wall! Ill post a photo of the ceiling as it looks now later in the week.
