Case adjourned on hearing in conducting rallies as attorney showcases that the articles of law are unconstitutional The Constitutional Court presided over by Judge Yousef Al-Mutawa adjourned to Sept 24 the petition filed by an Attorney through which he alleged that the law on rally is unconstitutional. He indicated that the first paragraph of Article 34 of Law 31/1970 regarding the modification of some verdicts of the penal law is unconstitutional, as it violates articles 30, 32, 33, 36 and 44 of the Kuwaiti Constitution. The Attorney also stressed that the articles 1/12, 16 and 20 of Law 65/1979 are unconstitutional. Indicating that these articles have been cancelled, he insisted that applying them on rallies is a restriction imposed on the freedom of individuals and oppression in violation of the principles of democracy.
