Casey Kasem has a new intern! A friend of mine past away in his sleep two nights ago. I have so many memories of Paul Malotke. I want to share a few memories of my friend with you. I met him a few years ago when he came into the KISS FM studios. We were giving away a prize of a scholarship to Specs Howard, a big broadcast school in Detroit. Several contestants came in to compete in our DJ competition for the scholarship prize. Paul Malotke was one of those contestants. It was one of the only times I would refer to him as Paul Malotke...because he would become Biggie Paulz, for obvious reasons :) You could the opportunity to compete in this competition was something that he had been waiting for and dreamed about all his life! He killed everyone else and DJd his way into our hearts forever after! or Gas Man when we were at Cumulus! He was great at gas man!!! Hello citizen! I also remember him helping me launch Party Radio on Toledos APP Station. I was at his house after he had spent several days downloading hundreds of songs for me. I didnt have anything to bring the music home with me. Biggie had an Iron Man thumb drive that the eyes would light up on when you plugged it in. It was predominantly placed in his Iron Man Case with his REAL Iron Man mask on the top. He said something like Ill let you borrow this to put the music on but I HAVE to have it back! He loved that thumb drive but that said to me how much he cared about me. I borrowed the thumb drive, and returned it! One of his passions was radio and he got it he understood radio and how it worked and he loved it!!!! But more importantly his big heart always matched his big stature! He was always there ready for anything I needed What can I do for you boss? He never got his big break on earth but I have a feeling big things are coming his way in heaven!
