Cassie England 1997-2014 This little girl embodied what it meant to be a cosplayer, escaping into the mind of a character for just a little while and standing tall when everyone else expected her to run and hide. Following her death earlier this past year the producers of Black Hat a film that celebrates Anime and Cosplay approached her parents to explain how Cassie inspired a character in there film. From our Wall Cassie England is the name of a 16-year-old girl who died of E.B. (Epidermolysis Bullosa). Her favorite things in the world included anime and cosplay. She was in constant pain because of the fragile skin and sores that are a sign of her condition, but never let that stop her from being a bright, sweet girl. After her death the writer/producer of Black Hat, a film that celebrates Anime and Cosplay, was approached by Cassies father, and decided to dedicate this film to the memory of Cassie, even naming a character after her. This page is attempting to bring Cassie and Black Hat to the attention of Ellen Degeneres, and could use your help.
