Shooting starts: Saturday November 8, 2014 for two weeks. Shooting finishes: The remaining dates will be sometime in December and January 2015. Union: ACTRA members for principal and actor roles. Accepting Non Union background performers. Storyline: In Medieval Europe, a battle-hardened warrior becomes King after defeating the ruling tyrant. Wanting to know the course of his reign, he orders his reluctant Mage to show him his future. Comments: We are looking for actors who are athletic and with physical capabilities that require hand-to hand, sword-fighting, and self-defense. We are currently casting 10 roles; most are silent except for the Mage, Lieutenant, and Enemy General. However, the Assassin, Queen, and Demon role have an importance throughout the entire film. Roles: 1) ASSASIN (ACTRA) Gender: Female Age: 25-35 A modern day gun-for-hire who proves to be a physical match for the King with her fiery energy. She becomes his second bride. Athletic. Physical capabilities required: hand-to-hand etc. Open Ethnicity. 2) QUEEN (ACTRA) Gender: Female Age: 25-35 A classical ethereal beauty in the vein of Guinevere. She is a doomed figure whose death sends the King over the edge. Preferably blonde or light brown hair. Caucasian and Period Looking. (3 days of shoot approx) 3) MAGE (ACTRA) Gender: Male Age: 27-40 Mysterious wizard with a mischievous smile (in the look only), who walks the line between good and evil. Caucasian (8 days of shoot approx) 4) DEMON (ACTRA) Gender: Male Age: 27-40 A dark force that plagues the King through the ages after their initial fight scene. Short in height 5’5-5’7. Athletic. Expressive face and eyes. Prosthetic Make-up will be applied (must be comfortable with this and not allergic). (7 days approx) 5) ENEMY GENERAL (ACTRA) Gender: Male Age: 27-40 Athletic, Physically Imposing. Open Ethnicity. (1 day approx) 6) LIEUTENANT (ACTRA) Gender: Male Age: 25-40 Greedy, sleazy. Caucasian. English-looking. 7) OLD BLACKSMITH (ACTRA) Gender: Male Age: 27-50 Grimy/sneaky looking. Not clean shaven. Short in height. Caucasian. (Has to be able to emote fear.) 8) 2 - SAMURAIS (ACTRA/STUNTS/NON UNION) Gender: Male Age: 25-40 Athletic, Japanese descent. Stunt experience. (1 day approx) 9) THE PRINCE (NON UNION) Gender: Male Age: 6-12 months old Caucasian boy. Accepting photo submission only.
