Casting host for variety talk show in the style of “The Tonight Show,” “The Late Show,” etc. Opportunity to become the “face” of a growing brand. Talent needs to be high-energy, charismatic, quick-witted. Must be reliable, engaged, and dedicated. This position will require at least 10-15 hours a week, including the night of the show and writers meeting. Must be well-organized, manage time efficiently outside of meetings, and be able to complete assigned weekly tasks. Attendance/punctuality is mandatory. Must work well in a team. This is an established show with a full crew and cast. Needs to be willing to share the spotlight with others, most importantly our weekly guests and performers. Must be able to handle criticism. No divas. Must be sincere, engaging, and curious with guests. Listening and Interview skills are paramount. Must be local to San Diego and familiar with area, community, and culture. Must be comfortable in front of a camera and a live studio audience. Prior hosting or stand up experience preferred. Must have excellent comedic delivery and timing. Improv and acting experience a plus. Production Dates and Times: First audition late October TBD. Needs to be available week of 11/1 - 11/6 for final audition. Possible permanent residency beginning February 2015. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in a real hosting experience.
