Cat Chance writes: Our inbox is full of requests to take cats. If a cat shows up at your door, what can you do? First of all, provide food and water. If you can take the cat inside, that is wonderful and you are doing your part in the community. If you cannot take the cat inside, do not panic. Understand why removing cats from the area to be euthanized or relocated does not work, and how it attracts more cats to your door! Our goal is to educate the public about community cats and how to support Trap Neuter Release. Trap and remove does not work. If the cat appears stressed and you believe he or she is lost, bring in temporarily, contact a rescue group. You can also post on social media and hang flyers in your neighbourhood.
