Cat and I had a heated discussion this week. Maybe some of you would like to weigh in. We are debating mouse-killing-etiquette. When one kills a mouse, should he or she A) eat it to destroy the evidence before the authorities arrive, B) lay it out neatly on an easily cleaned surface (say, linoleum) so that Owner can help sanitize the killing chamber, or C) in the spirit of many a serial killer before, stash the body, perhaps in the bookcase, so that you can revisit it time and time and time again, to relive the act? In other news, I spent two days this week cleaning under the bed, in the closet, under the nightstands, etc., looking for that horrible dead-mouse smell, while Cat sat on the bed watching me with haughty amusement. I did finally find it, in the book case. And lucky me, I decluttered my shoe collection in the process and the underside of my bed is much tidier. AND in other totally unrelated news, Cat and I have agreed to couples therapy. It will be a difficult road ahead.
