Cat people - I need advice...our cat is about 7 months old. Shes litter box trained to a point. She poops in there only and does pee but will go on throw rugs and in plastic items as well. Weve ruled out an infection - vet says she a perfectly healthy and offered no advice on stopping the problem. We tried changing the litter, tried changing it back, did multiple litter boxes, got a bigger one, got one with a lid, and have tried the litter that says cats are attracted to it. No change. She still pees in empty laundry baskets, on rugs, etc. One suggestion someone made was to re-set her by locking her in a small room w/food, water, and a littler box, maybe a toy or two but nothing else so she can only go in the litter box. Im torn on that. It feels mean but at the same time, I cant live in a house thats an animals litter box like this. Any suggestions? Thoughts? Ive google searched it and everything says changing the litter or its an infection. Ruled those out so now what??
