Catch the mobile, big band spectacular that is the MarchFourth Marching Band at the Center for the Arts Tuesday, January 13. The MarchFourth Marching Band’s original music is anchored by funky electric bass, rocking guitar, a diverse percussion ensemble and brassy horn section. Inspired from an eclectic range of worldwide influences, the M4 experience becomes a journey from the swamps of Louisiana to the Gypsy camps of Eastern Europe to the African jungle by way of Brazil, echoing the deepest grooves of American funk, rock and jazz. That’s all boiled together and framed in cinematic fashion by costumed dancing beauties, high-stepping stilt acrobatics and many more theatrics.
