Cathedral Holds 14th Annual St. Joseph Dinner SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Cathedral High School celebrated their 14th annual St. Joseph’s Medal Dinner at The Cedars Banquet Hall in Springfield. The event highlights Cathedral’s 131 year legacy, paying tribute to generations of Sisters of St. Joseph, clergy, and lay persons, who have dedicated themselves to making Cathedral what it is today. “We’re looking for people who have excelled in their professional life, looking for people who have made the community a better place to live, people who could sustain a commitment to cathedral, and those that have exemplified Catholic values in their life, as well as people who have displayed good citizenship,” said Linda McGurn, Director of Advancement. 8 people were honored at tonight’s event, including the Chairman and CEO of EWTN, and the Boston Marathon Bombing Lead Investigator. McGurn says Cathedral is also in the process of building a $10 million endowment for tuition assistance for students who want to attend.
