Catholic Family Service Bureau will be offering a Music Therapy group for parents and their babies aged 4 to 18 months. The baby should be able to hold up his/her head but not be walking yet. Through this group, Catholic Family Services Bureau hopes to help develop and strengthen the relationship between parents and their babies, as well as stimulate the baby through the use of music. Babies will respond very naturally and instinctively to music. Studies have shown that early exposure to music can increase brain development. The use of Music Therapy in this setting will help to create a positive atmosphere where parents and babies can communicate and have fun within the community. This group will be starting in early 2014. A detailed reminder will be sent out in January.
